Two centenarians celebrate 106th and 107th birthday at Indy retirement home

INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis nursing home celebrated the lives of two centenarians over the weekend. 

Edna Bowman and Rennie Frutkin both live at the Allisonville Meadows retirement home. 

Edna turns 107 on Monday, May 20 and Rennie will be 106 on Tuesday, May 22. 

Both buckeye natives had family and friends to celebrate them on Saturday. Edna's granddaughter says her grandmother keeps going because of her determination and acceptance. 

Both Edna and Rennie have lived through two world wars, the Great Depression and countless other historic events in their lives.
