If you're planning on going to the big IU homecoming game against Michigan this weekend, it might be a headache to get to, as State Road 37 construction could cause some major delays as you're heading to Bloomington.

State Road 37 is restricted to one lane in both directions and the speed limit is reduced to 45 miles per hour, while this construction is underway.

As a result, INDOT recommends taking an alternate route to the game.

One alternate route you can use is to take southbound I-65 toward Columbus, to westbound State Highway 46, and continue into Bloomington from there. This route takes about an hour and 20 minutes.

Another option is to go southbound on State Highway 67 toward Spencer, then go eastbound on State Highway 46, and continue into Bloomington. That route is also estimated to take about an hour and 20 minutes.

Whichever way you choose to go to the game, you'll want to leave a lot earlier than you typically would with all of the construction, detours, and increased traffic.
