New study finds women can have children following cancer diagnosis

INDIANAPOLIS – For years, cancer survivors feared they may not be able to give birth following treatment, but a new study finds otherwise. 

“That was based on the fear that high estrogen levels associated with pregnancy will increase the risk of recurrence of the cancer that she's had or increase the risk of developing new cancers,” said Dr. Kathy Miller, IU Ballve' Lantero Professor of Medicine.
