GREENFIELD, Ind. -- Students at Greenfield-Central High School saw more police than usual on campus after a threat was made against a student on social media.
Principal Jason Cary said an anonymous Instagram account named a specific student and a specific threat for Monday. Cary said the school will punish those involved to the extend of the handbook.
The Greenfield Police Department said they received reports of a threat to "shoot up the high school". Officers and the principal say the school is as safe as possible.
Police say they identified two juveniles were were questioned and admitted involvement. Their investigation is ongoing and juvenile charges are pending.
A fake email was circulating on social media, saying school was closed Monday. Classes went on as scheduled.
