Columbus drive-thru clinic gives flu shots

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. -- Getting a flu shot usually means getting out of your car and sitting in a waiting room to receive your vaccination, but not Bartholomew County.

The county health department will offer flu vaccinations while you wait in your car. It’s being called the Drive-Thru Flu Clinic.

On October 10, in the flea market area of the Fair Oaks Mall in Columbus, Indiana, health department officials will give flu shots while drivers stays in their vehicle.

The cost is $20 for quadrivalent or $30 for high dose, which the health department says is recommended for people over 65.

Underinsured or uninsured individuals will be eligible for a free vaccine.

The vaccine event will run from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
